Victor Torpedo carries the genetic information of a true rocker in his DNA. Tédio Boys, The Parkinsons, Blood Safari, 77 and Tiguana Bibles are unequivocal forensic evidence to convict Victor Torpedo of the crime of subversion and promoting popular revolt. At the Gil Vicente Academic Theatre, Great Expectations will be released on vinyl, a collection of 12 songs taken from each album released in 2023. At some point, Victor Torpedo will present the result of the first recordings made with his current road band, Pop Kids, published by Lux Records.
Pedro Renato (Belle Chase Hotel) and John Mercy (a Jigsaw), on the album The Immigrant & The Vagabond, created the soundtrack for two of Charles Chaplin’s most iconic films – The Immigrant from 1917 and The Vagabond from 1916. Accompanied on vocals by Raquel Ralha (Belle Chase Hotel) and Ruby Ann, they warped the melodies and words for every second of these two cinema classics. Two friends, two soundtracks, two short films, an invitation and a disc. A country and western disc that accompanies two Charlie Chaplin short films. A disc that lovers of cinema and this style of music can’t miss and will quickly become addicted to.
