Maria Eugenia Agostinho Pereira, stage name Nené Pereira, is one of the most characteristic and melodious voices in the repertoire of tina, gumbe, djambadon and singa, traditional genres and the liveliest rhythms of modern Guinea-Bissau music.
A songwriter and performer with a career that began more than sixteen years ago and has been consistently successful, she was a founding member and lead singer of the cultural group AMIZADE KA FACIL, from the Quelele neighbourhood, as well as the CORSON DE TINA Group.
Her first solo album is entitled PADIDA FIDALGO and she has already published five songs, the success and recognition of which confirms Nené Pereira’s identity and brand as one of the most appreciated voices in the liveliest rhythms of Guinea-Bissau’s modern and traditional music.
