Salvador D’Alice are a project from the Coimbra region, based in Praia da Tocha. The sounds they present show a galloping and energetic fusion between genres such as funk, jazz, Afro-Latin, cumbia and psychedelic rock, with the aim of involving and infecting the audience in an easily danceable atmosphere.
The group recorded their first EP in 2020, live in a century-old library in the Gândara region. The work of the same name is characterised by the way the instrumentation varies throughout the songs, interspersing moments of fixed ideas with some nuances of improvisation, making each performance different. Improvisation and intense dialogue between musicians are at the root of the project and are moments that the band makes a point of preserving live.
