The 15th edition of the QuebraJazz Arts Festival begins on 17 July and runs until 31 August. The festival, which brings together around 180 musicians and 34 cultural events, takes place at the Colina de Camões amphitheatre, Quinta das Lágrimas, the Quebra Costas staircase and various other venues in the city, under the theme “Messengers”. This year, as well as classical music and jazz, there’s an open-air cinema, a photography exhibition and a literary journey around the life and work of Zeca Afonso. This festival is the result of a partnership between the Inês de Castro Foundation and QuebraJazz (Quebra Costas Cultural Association), with the support of Coimbra City Council.
