Sophia Chablau is a singer-songwriter from São Paulo. Her songs have been recorded by artists such as Zé Ibarra with “Hello” and Ana Frango Elétrico with “Debaixo do Pano”. In 2022 she took part in the album “Vão” by musician and writer José Miguel Wisnik.
She has released two albums with the band Sophia Chablau and Uma Enorme Perda de Tempo, in which she sings, composes and plays guitar. The band came third in the 2023 List of Lists, compiled by journalist Pena Schmidt, and was mentioned in more than 40 national lists of the best albums of the year. Their song “Segredo” was nominated for Rock of the Year at the Multishow Awards.
In 2022 Sophia was interviewed by Marcelo Tas on the Provoca programme on TV Cultura.
In her solo show, the artist plays the guitar and sings her well-known compositions, as well as new songs.
