Concert as part of the Verão a 2 Tempos programme * Epicentro

As part of the composition Anima – Suite for String Orchestra and Soloists, Luís Figueiredo invited the Norwegian guitarist to collaborate as a soloist alongside the musicians Diogo Duque, Julian Argüelles and Martín Sued. This collaboration took the Portuguese pianist to Norway to record Aarset’s participation on the disc, and now brings the Norwegian guitarist to Portugal for a series of three concerts. One of them coincides precisely with the premiere of Anima at the Quebra Jazz Arts Festival, which simultaneously serves as the launch concert for the respective disc, published by Roda Music. However, the other two concerts (Coimbra and Lisbon) take on a very different format: a duo concert, a meeting of improvisers in full exploration and dialogue of sound. exploration and sound dialogue. Electronics and free improvisation will certainly be the unifying elements of this duo, but the results are absolutely unpredictable. The Epicentro festival hosts this show at Salão Brazil on 18 July at 22h00. The following day, 19 July July, it will be the turn of Cossoul – Sociedade de Instrução Guilherme Cossoul, in Lisbon.
