He writes songs that seem to be received as social science, but the reverse is also true. He has many descendants, but he is more than the sum of those he has influenced. In 21st century Portuguese popular music, there is no other figure like B Fachada, the stage name of Bernardo Fachada, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer.

Born in 1984, he studied music at the Gregorian Institute in Lisbon and learnt the piano. He later attended the Hot Clube de Portugal school and studied Portuguese Studies at university. Since 2007, he has been known for his astonishing, and to a certain extent merciless, pace of releases, through which he frequently subverts the canon and converts the dogmatic, scrambles expectations and exposes the clutter, scratches labels, hunts for ruptures.
