The Cupertino de Miranda Foundation launched the International Festival of Portuguese Polyphony (FIPP) in 2011. So, in 2024, we are in the eleventh edition of the Festival, with the aim of promoting polyphonic music from the 16th and 17th centuries, in unique places of history and architecture from the Baroque period.
In 2024, the Festival will be held in the cities of Coimbra (Church of the Monastery of Santa Cruz), Porto (Church of São Lourenço (Grilos) and Church of Santa Clara), Amarante (Church of São Gonçalo), Vila Nova de Famalicão (Church of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Landim) and Braga (Basilica of Bom Jesus do Monte). The full programme includes concerts by the vocal group Cupertinos in all venues and organist Yves Rechsteiner in two concerts, one in the Church of São Lourenço (Grilos) and the other in the Church of São Gonçalo.
