Frenchman Sébastien Giniaux is one of the most acclaimed guitarists of the new generation of musicians inspired by Django Reinhardt. The owner of unprecedented creativity and technical mastery, Giniaux blends different musical genres into a language that is distinctly his own.
The guitarist is a true master of Gypsy Jazz, drawing influences from American Jazz, Classical Music, the Balkans and West Africa. From Ravel to Radiohead, from Nougaro to Chopin, to Romanian gypsy music or the oriental coceks of Macedonia, Sebastien Giniaux invites the listener to enter a unique sound world.
The multi-instrumentalist is also a virtuoso on the cello, and has a career as a painter, poet and composer. Sébastien Giniaux is the purest genius of modern music and the arts.
Recognised by the critics as ‘one of the best young Gypsy Jazz guitarists in the world’, he is an essential figure at the most prestigious festivals of the genre.
