Tomás de Papel is a scratched sheet of paper, born and raised in the city of Coimbra. He was carried by the wind to Sintra, where he produced and recorded his first solo album, ‘Desconcertante Modo de Vida’, at Blacksheep Studios.
In an intimate and profound record, with influences from indie rock, folk pop and classic-contemporary, Tomás de Papel leaves in his poems, written in his mother tongue, the questions and resolutions, the conflicts and landscapes of an observer-thinker, suffering from love, looking for the answers to be happy.
text description of the first single: “Casa de Alguém” is the title of the single that kicks off Tomás de Papel’s journey. The song portrays a memory of a moment so fragile that it can only be seen from afar. Something close in thought, but far away in the tangible world, and that’s for the best. Knowing that if it’s touched, it either breaks or it’s not real.
