Johanna Baget is a 21st century troubadour.
With her voice, her guitar and her incisive pen, she shares her music in the traditional vein of “chanson française”.
Nurtured by her ten years at the viola conservatory and her love of poetry, she now transforms her training in political sciences into a curiosity for the world around her.
She began performing in Lisbon in 2022, where she met and collaborated with various artists, mainly from the folk and Brazilian scene.
At the same time as her concerts, she recorded her first album, “Câlin oxygène” (Abraço oxigénio), with the help of Simone Carugati at Studio55. A journey through ten of her original compositions, between tenderness and mischief.
On her return from Portugal, she toured Brittany for two months and Western Europe for four months, during which she gave around forty concerts.
Since 2023, she has been developing projects with other musicians, including a duo of songs with the double bass player and singer Lilas Bérault, and an exciting ensemble with the Fanfare du Losange from Geneva.
On stage, Johanna Baget lets the audience into the intimacy of her music and lyrics. She offers a dialogue between original compositions and versions of French songs, popular ballads and other Latin tunes. An invitation to let yourself be carried away by the simple depth of her voice.
