Tcha Limberger is a singer, violinist, guitarist and teller of the most beautiful stories from his rich musical past. Born in Belgium into a family of renowned jazz manouche musicians, he grew up listening to Django Reinhardt’s Gypsy Jazz and over the years has collaborated with its main interpreters.
The repertoire of the blind multi-instrumentalist goes beyond Manouche and Sinti music. Tcha Limberg is the only musician today to preserve the heritage of his eastern ancestors by performing almost forgotten traditional songs from the Romani repertoire. A creative gifted of chills who takes us to the edge of our emotions with Hungarian, Romanian, Transylvanian, Serbian and Greek songs.
Making his absolute debut in Portugal, Tcha Limberg entrusts all his mastery to the international musicians from Portugal and Coimbra, Nuno Marinho on guitar and Miguel Falcão on double bass. Not to be missed on 24 February at the Coimbra Conservatory of Music Auditorium.
Tickets give free access to the MON(S)TRA LUTHIERS ASMUSITEC event on the day of the concert.
