Rock icons Guns N’ Roses have just announced an extensive tour of Europe and the Middle East in the summer of 2025, with a stop in Portugal on 6 June at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
The band, accompanied by special guests Rival Sons, will headline stadiums and festivals in 24 cities. The tour kicks off on 23 May and includes debuts in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Georgia and Luxembourg, as well as returns to familiar stages in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and others.
Guns N’ Roses remain, to this day, the most dynamic, influential and definitive American rock band in history. Rooted in popular culture, their iconic album Appetite For Destruction, released in 1987 and certified diamond, stands out as ‘the best-selling debut album ever in the US’ and ‘the 11th best-selling album of all time in the US.’ Their ‘Not In This Lifetime…’ tour (2016-2019) achieved the status of ‘fourth most profitable tour of all time.’ In 1991, Guns N’ Roses rocked the world with the double impact of Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, both certified 7x platinum, occupying the top two spots on the Billboard 200 upon their release.
With global sales exceeding 100 million units, the band’s catalogue also includes G N’ R Lies (5x platinum), The Spaghetti Incident? (platinum), Greatest Hits (5x platinum) and Chinese Democracy (platinum). In addition, they are one of the most listened to rock bands in the world, with an average of 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify. After their historic reunion of the century, they headlined the Coachella festival and sold over 5 million tickets during their ‘Not In This Lifetime…’ tour.
However, Guns N’ Roses never stop. With new tours planned for 2023 and other surprises on the way, the ‘Nightrain’ continues to roll on full steam ahead. The current line-up includes Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboards).
