Fanou Torracinta (France) is one of the most relevant and exciting musicians of the new generation of Gypsy Jazz worldwide. The virtuoso guitarist from Corsica comes from a family of musicians. From an early age, he had the opportunity to play with the best in history, including Stochelo Rosenberg, Tchavolo Schmitt and Florin Niculescu.
As well as being an excellent performer, Fanou is an outstanding composer. Since 2020 he has recorded three albums: ‘Gypsy Guitar From Corsica Vol. 1’, ‘Gypsy Guitar From Corsica Vol. 2’ and his latest work ‘La Belle Vie’. In these he brings together the perfect combination of tradition and modernity within the musical universe of Django Reinhardt and American Jazz Swing.
After touring France, Italy, Spain and the United States, we’ll be able to see and hear this prodigy at the Django Portugal Festival.
