Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss in Portugal – 2025.
From 29 April to 5 May 2025, the Vienna Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra presents an unforgettable tribute to Johann Strauss, the ‘King of Waltz’, in seven Portuguese cities: Lisbon, Palmela, Sintra, Braga, Porto, Coimbra and Aveiro.
The programme includes Strauss’s most iconic works, such as Blue Danube, Radetzky March, Viennese Blood and Emperor’s Waltz, enriched by arias performed by an exceptionally talented soprano and baritone.
The Orchestra, recognised for the authenticity of the Viennese sound, brings the charm and tradition of Vienna’s waltzes and polkas to Portugal, in a unique celebration of Strauss’ legacy.
