‘For fifteen years, the Mixed Tunas Festival, (Re)Cordas, has aimed to perpetuate the tradition of Coimbra and bring rituals and traditions from other cities to this city, in an intercultural exchange’
Desconcertuna, the Mixed Tuna of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, has been organising its Mixed Tunas Festival, (Re)Cordas, for fifteen years now. Its aim is to perpetuate Coimbra’s tradition and bring rituals and traditions from other cities to this city in an intercultural exchange. The paths of the world cross in melodies and stories. In each city a note; in each continent a chord. In this XV (Re)Cordas: Além-Mar, with the theme Around the World, Desconcertuna gives you the passport to embark on a unique journey, exploring new cultures and experiences. Because music knows no borders and guides us like a compass on a journey without limits, this tour takes us from the contagious rhythms of African countries, the exotic melodies of Asia and Oceania, through the vibrant sounds of American cities to the nostalgic harmonies of European squares. So venture out with us on this festival, carrying more than objects in your luggage – smiles, songs and memories, which should convey the experiences that each tuna has brought with them on their journey. –
