The Power to Beat Time: Works that Transcend Their Era.
In the Grand Auditorium of the São Francisco Convent in Coimbra, the Inês de Castro Symphonic Choir and the Espinho Classical Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Jean-Marc Burfin, join forces with pianist Bernardo Santos from Coimbra for an evening of musical exaltation. At the Coimbra Easter Concert, two immortal works will echo: Beethoven’s Fantasie Choral, which celebrates the fusion between human creativity and spiritual transcendence, and Mozart’s Requiem, one of the most sublime musical reflections on eternity. Six soloists – Leonor Barbosa de Melo, Grace Feltoe, Gisela Sachse, Pedro Rodrigues, João Pereira and Rui Silva – will give voice to this thrilling interpretation, projecting the depth and grandeur of these masterpieces. An unforgettable concert, where music transcends time and becomes living memory, honouring the timeless genius of two of history’s greatest composers.
