Gémea Analógica is the name of the show of acoustic concerts that Filipe Sambado took on the road last year, following Três Anos de Escorpião em Taouro (2023), from which they were recorded and have now been released on an album of the same name, with a cassette edition by Revolve.
By stripping away the imposing expressiveness of the production of the studio versions, not only is its intimate and fragile side revealed: the very skin of the song is uncovered.
It could therefore be said that Gémea Analógica doesn’t set out to highlight the contrast, but rather a deepening or return to the genesis of Três Anos de Escorpião em Touro.
However, Sambado doesn’t get lost or bogged down in this apparent contradiction, and shows once again that it is possible to bring together two apparently different ideas in the same song.
