‘They sing things in Portuguese and in foreign languages’

John and James are two biblical names. So, suddenly, it’s perhaps the only thing that can be said about the connection between the two, but it wasn’t only in Jerusalem that the partnership worked.
Or it was, but now it could work too. Even if it doesn’t, they’ll make an effort, because the success of this project depends on their combined efforts. Two musicians and, above all, lovers of songs, sharing a stage for a romantic chat to revisit the songs that taught them to love what is probably the most ancient art there is. In a show without borders, like the games (the anthem of the former EEC and current EU can be heard in the distance), João Só and Tiago Nogueira promise to visit themes and artists that were part of their growing up. This is a concert for revivalists and music lovers in general. From Billy Joel to Quinta do Bill, from Bárbara Streisand to Bárbara Bandeira, great hits are mixed with guilty pleasures. It’s music for music’s sake. Harm be damned! Cursed be the hour when John and James stopped being just two apostles’ names and decided to bet on this idea of evangelising people to musicophilia.
