Leo Middea, from Rio de Janeiro, presents his 5th album of originals “Gente”, released on 2 June on the French label Pineapple French Pop. “Gente” was recorded between Amsterdam, Paris and Praia da Areia Branca in Portugal. It was produced by Breno Viricimo and features Brazilian singer Mallu Magalhães, who lives in Portugal, on “Borboleta Efeito”, as well as the collaboration of singer Curandeira and trumpeter Béesau on “Balanço de Amor”.
Over the last year, Leo Middea has performed all over the world: Portugal, Brazil, France, Holland, England, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Cape Verde. The musician has travelled the world accompanied by his guitar and his sweet, ear-tickling songs – such as Lisbon Lisbon or Freguesia de Arroios – are streaming champions on the various digital platforms. He currently lives between Lisbon, the city where he recorded his previous albums: “Vicentina” and “Beleza Isolar” (2020) and Barcelona. Anyone who sees him on stage is surprised by his energy and unrelenting presence from start to finish, either as a solo artist or accompanied by his band.
