The show entitled ‘The People and a Guitar’, organised by the PCP and with the participation of various artists and cultural entities from the city of Coimbra, as part of the celebrations for Carlos Paredes’ centenary, is a heartfelt tribute to a man of culture, art and the struggle for a better world.
To commemorate Carlos Paredes’ centenary is above all to remember and value the life and work of a man who was, and is, a unique symbol of Portuguese culture and one of the main people responsible for the dissemination and popularity of the Portuguese guitar.
