Will Samson presents ‘Songs Of Beginning & Belonging’ – his second and latest album of ambient music, released on 31 January by Dauw.
Without any musical barriers, Will Samson has explored electronica, folk and ambient music on all his records over the last ten years, with a special emphasis on creating immersive musical environments using analogue recording techniques.
Will Samson has released records on labels as diverse as Wichita Recordings (American Football, Ride), 12k (Taylor Deupree, Ryuichi Sakamoto), Dauw and even the British dance music label Aus Music.
As well as touring in his own name, Will Samson has played with musicians such as Ólafur Arnalds, S. Carey, Kurt Vile or Efterklang and at European festivals such as Rewire (NL), Explore The North (NL), Fusion (DE) and many others.
His work has been referenced through interviews, highlights or reviews in specialised magazines such as Uncut, Mojo, Electronic Sound, The Sunday Times, BBC 6 Music, NTS, Loud & Quiet, Público, Le Monde and others.
