𝐁𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐬 is a Portuguese garage rock band formed in Coimbra in 2021. The band is made up of lead vocalist Silas Sequeira, bassist Fred Biscaia, drummer Catipanga, rhythm guitarist Chico Baumberg and lead guitarist Joshua.
The band’s sound is characterised by energetic riffs and melancholic lyrics, inspired by bands such as Joy Division, Nirvana, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Liily, Bloc Party, Pretty Vicious and SOFT PLAY.
His new EP, ‘Summer Despair’, which will be released in 2024, includes tracks such as ‘Tides’, ‘Feeble Star’, ‘Bubble’, ‘Dive’ and ‘Spiral’. With lyrics related to the sea, the EP captures a melancholic feeling that turns to anger when the music reaches its most energetic point.
𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐭 is a band from Boston, formed in January 2024, and is a very young but very, very prolific band. Their first EP, ‘Demo Tape’, was released in February and has already received its fifth reissue. The band members used to be part of a lot of local punk and hardcore bands and now, as the lead singer says, they’re letting loose: ‘we’re trying to ignore the bands that came before and let this new band be what people are interested in at the moment’.
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 have a career divided mostly between Portugal and the UK, they are a cult band and considered by many to be one of the best punk-rock bands to emerge on the British music circuit at the beginning of this century, they are restless, assertive and highly noisy.
