A leading name in the new generation of Coimbra fado performers, Martins has a musical approach that combines respect for the genre’s roots with contemporary freshness. Authors from the beginning of the 20th century, such as António Menano or Edmundo Bettencourt, were the basis for the repertoire that Martins presents in this concert, a creative dialogue between voice, viola, Coimbra guitar and acoustic bass.
