Underwater Songs is a collection of songs written by pianist and composer Luís Figueiredo between 2022 and 2024. Some have lyrics in English, others in Portuguese and one in Spanish. The songs are essentially ballads, with a simple, unpretentious sound. However, at the same time, these songs seem to convey something deeper and more meaningful.
They seem to provoke feelings of remembrance and loss, and lead the listener through a visual imagery close to photography and cinema.
All the songs were written by Luís Figueiredo.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Sérgio Milhano at Ponto Zurca Studios, Almada Portugal.
